Xfinity Mobile was officially launched by Comcast on April 6, 2017. You can create your Xfinity ID online to avail everything you need from Xfinity Mobile.

All you can do it online- whether you want to activate your new phone or old phone at xfinitymobile.com/activate or are transferring a number from your previous carrier or activating a new number. Just visit xfinity.com/mobile/activate and follow the step-by-step process as discussed below.

However, before you proceed with the activation process, please review the following things:

1. While transferring your number you may need to enter certain information from your previous carrier. Therefore, please keep a copy of your bill and account PIN handy. You may connect your previous carrier for assistance in case you don’t know your account PIN or number transfer PIN.
2. You need to insert your nanoSIM card on your own in case you have purchased iPhone 12 or earlier. iPhone 13 or later can be activated using electronic nanoSIM or eSIM. nanoSIMs are pre-installed on Android phones.
3. The activation time may vary with the carrier however; it usually takes around 10 minutes. 4. In case you are willing you to transfer your number from a previous carrier then make sure that you already took back up of your old phone. It is also recommended to keep your new phone closer to your old phone.

Use Xfinity Mobile nanoSIM Card to activate your New Phone at xfinitymobile.com/activate

You need to follow these three steps to get your new phone activated using an Xfinity Mobile nanoSIM Card:

Step 1	Unbox your device first.
Step 2	Go to xfinitymobile.com/activate to start the activation process.
Step 3	Just Press Activate to complete the activation process and you are now welcome to Xfinity family.

Step 1: Unbox your device first

Unbox your new phone and make sure that you received everything you ordered such as your phone, Xfinity Mobile nanoSIM card, charger or other accessories (if ordered). Please ensure that your phone is turned off (and stays off) for activation.

In case you want to continue with your current phone and decided to bring your own device (BYOD) with Xfinity Mobile then you need to use Xfinity Mobile nanoSIM card that was mailed to your previously.

As Xfinity Mobile nanoSIM cards are pre-installed on Android devices- it makes the activation process much easier.

Step 2: Go to xfinitymobile.com/activate

You need to visit xfinitymobile.com/activate on a mobile device or your laptop or desktop and create a new account or login to your existing account.

In case you have not created your Xfinity account then create the same using the process discussed below:

Head to xfinitymobile.com/activate and you’ll be redirected to the sign in page. Now click the link “Create a new Xfinity ID”.

Now, create your Xfinity ID using your mobile number or Social Security Number.

Choose the option and follow on-screen instructions to create your Xfinity ID.

Step 3: Complete the activation process

Now, you need to click the Activate button to get a new number or start the number transfer process. You’ll receive an email once the activation process completes.

Method to Use eSIM to activate a new Line and an Existing Line

Please make a note that eSIM is only supported on iPhone 13 or newer. Find below the process of activating a new line and an existing line using eSIM.

Step 1: Unbox your device and make sure you received everything that you ordered. Step 2: Go to xfinitymobile.com/activate either on a mobile device, your laptop or desktop. You need to choose the right option “keep your existing number” or “I want a new number.” While transferring your current number, you’ll be asked to enter few information from your previous carrier such as your account number and PIN. Step 3: Click Activate to complete the activation process. You’ll also receive a confirmation email once the activation process is completed. Step 4: Download the eSIM to start with Xfinity.

Method to Use eSIM to activate an existing Line

Step 1: Unbox your device and make sure you received everything that you ordered. Step 2: Now, go to xfinity.com/mobile/my-account/devices on a mobile device or desktop or laptop and sign in to your Xfinity account. Choose “Replace your device” and then “Bring your own.” You need to choose the type of device you’re switching to (whether it is iPhone, Galaxy or Pixel). Provide your device IMEI and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the activation process. Step 3: Download the eSIM card to start experiencing Xfinity services.

It is possible to download eSIM by following one of the three ways shared below-

Push Notification	Tap the notification received on your iPhone screen. Go to the setting screen and tap Xfinity Mobile Cellular Plan Ready to be Installed.Finally, tap the Continue button at the bottom of the activate eSIM screen
QR Code	Go to your phone setting and choose Cellular. Now, tap on ‘Add Cellular Plan’ and scan the QR code available at xfinitymobile.com/activate to activate your eSIM.
Using a URL	Go to your phone setting and Add Cellular Plan. Choose enter details manually and enter gsmacct.vzw.otgeuicc.com in the SM-DP+ Address field. You need to leave the Confirmation Code and Activation Code blank.

Process to activate your existing phone on Xfinity Mobile

Great, that you have got your new Xfinity Mobile SIM card! Now, you can activate your phone online- it will take around 20 to 25 minutes and you’ll receive a confirmation email once done.

Step 1: Pre-activation checklist

Keep your Google account and password or Apple ID safe as it will be required to log back to your phone later.
Connect your phone to WiFi.
In case you are transferring your current number then keep a recent bill of your old carrier with you.
You may also download your voicemails with sentimental value, if any.

Step 2: Transfer Your Number

If you are willing to transfer your current phone number to Xfinity mobile then you need to provide few information from your previous carrier. In case you want a new number then choose the option “I want a new number.”

Step 3: Activate your SIM Card

Choose “Activate SIM” and process of switching to Xfinity Mobile starts automatically in the background. You’ll receive a confirmation email once the activation process is completed.

Step 4: Insert your new SIM card

After the activation process completes, you need to insert the new SIM card.

iPhone is not connecting to Xfinity

Make sure WiFi is ON while activating your phone. In case you have successfully activated your phone but Xfinity mobile is not working then make sure that you see “Xfinity Mobile” on the top left of the home screen. In case you don’t see the same then follow the process as shared below:

Step 1: Connect to an active WiFi network.

Step 2: Now, you need to go to Settings > General > About.

Step 3: Wait till Carrier Settings Update appears and then Select Update.
