edudel.nic.in 2023-24 first draw of lots on 3rd of March: As per the latest notification, the first computerized draw of lots for EWS admission Delhi 2023-24 (Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS)/Disadvantaged Groups students) will be conducted on 3rd March 2023.

The Right to Education Act says that 25% seats in private schools at entry-level classes are reserved for EWS/DG and CWSN categories students. Out of which, 3% seats are reserved for CWSN and 22% seats for EWS category students.

This is to also inform you that Delhi Nursery, KG and Class 1 admission is now open in Private Unaided recognized schools of Delhi. Candidates below 6 years of age as on 31st March 2023 are eligible for admission.

EWS Admission Delhi 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Please read the EWS admission Delhi 2023 eligibility criteria so that you can confirm whether your child is eligible for admission or not. Do not apply if your child is not eligible.

Age Limit

However, the age criteria for children with disabilities category for Pre-School/nursery, Pre-primary/KG, and Class 1 is as follows-

Residence Proof: Persons residing in Delhi should have residence proof of Delhi. However the minimum residency period is 3 years.

Income certificate: The income of family must be less than one lakh annually. It is compulsory to submit income certificate issued by the Revenue Department of GNCT of Delhi.

BPL/AAY: BPL/AAY (Food Security Card/Ration Card holders) are permitted to apply in Private Unaided Recognized schools under EWS category.

Disadvantage Group: SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy layer), Transgender, Orphans, and child affected or living with HIV falls under disadvantage group category. There is no income certificate required for children with disabilities category, however they have to submit disability certificate as issued by a Govt. hospital.

The online registration process for EWS admission Delhi 2023 is now over.

Here are step-by-step instructions to apply for Delhi EWS admission 2023-24.

Part 1: Online Registration

Step 1: Please visit the official website of Directorate of Education Delhi (DoE) edudel.nic.in and click the direct link for EWS and DG admissions.

Step 2: You’ll redirected to http://edustud.nic.in/ to fill up your application form.

Step 3: Click the direct link of Registration for New User (Nursery/Pre-School to Class-1) and fill up the mandatory details like- classes, first name, middle name, last name, mobile number, email ID, gender, date of birth, proof of date of birth, total income of both the parents from all sources, category as EWS/DG, issued certificate number, issued certificate date etc.

Click the register button and following pop-up will appear on screen:

Click OK to register your child successfully. Note down your registration number and password as displayed on screen. You will also receive the same to your mobile number through SMS.

Part 2: Fill up your Application Form

After you complete the Part 1, you can now move to Part 2 to fill EWS admission Delhi 2023 application form.

Step 1: Login to your account using your registration number and password.

Step 2: The first page will appear with already filled registration details. Fill rest part of the application form which includes parent’s details and address.

Step 3: Read all information and submit your application form. You’ll receive a message like this-

Step 4: Now proceed to choose choice of schools (0-1) km.

Click the submit button and following message will appear on screen.

Step 5: Repeat the same process for choice of schools in 1-3kms, 3-6kms, above 6kms. Finally submit your application form and take printout of the same.
