The Covid-19 and Omicron cases in India are rising again at an alarming rate and there is a possibility that Uttar Pradesh Government may impose weekend lockdown or full lockdown in coming days. Meanwhile, UP Government has issued new covid guidelines that will be applicable from 6 January 2022 onwards. However, if infections continue to rise then the Government may announce restrictions where you need an e Pass for movement. Read this article to know the complete procedure to get UP curfew pass.

Only emergency activities are allowed during lockdown and they are:

  • Delivery of essentials such as food, medicine, other essential items.
  • Medical professionals movement
  • Essential commodities transportation
  • eCommerce operations
  • Essential services such as water, electricity, gas, telecommunication, electronic media, financial services, personal safety services etc.
  • Medical emergencies, vaccination

For other movements, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has made e Pass essential. The Government has made it easier for people to get UP lockdown e pass online. In case of difficulties you may also call on UP Government corona helpline number 18001805145.

Professional involved in emergencies services are also required to show their identity card and other essential documents (to be released by UP government after the lockdown is imposed).

How to Apply for UP Curfew Pass?

Follow the procedure shared below to apply for a UP curfew pass, UP night curfew pass, or Uttar Pradesh lockdown pass:

Step 1: You need to visit the official website of UP government https://rahat.up.nic.in/.

Step 2: You’ll see the option of UP curfew e Pass flashing on top of homepage.

Step 3: Click the link and you’ll be redirected to a new tab. You can change language from English to Hindi or simply proceed in English.

Step 4: You’ll need to enter your mobile number first and verify it using an One Time Password (OTP).

Step 5:  You can fill up UP covid pass application form after you verify your mobile number.

Step 6: You’ll be asked to enter details including your name, address, pass area, vehicle type along with other details.

Step 7: Further, you need to upload your photograph and one of your identity proofs such as aadhaar card, votor ID card, driving license etc.

Step 8: Check the acknowledgement box and submit your Uttar Pradesh curfew pass application form.

Step 9: After you click the submit button, you’ll receive a confirmation message to your mobile number along with a registration number.

Process to track your UP Curfew Pass status

After you successfully complete the UP curfew pass registration process then you can check status of your lockdown pass whether it is approved or not online by following the steps below. Once your UP lockdown pass is approved then you can download it and take a printout of the same.

Step 1: Visit the official website of https://rahat.up.nic.in/.

Step 2: Click the UP night curfew e Pass option available on the home page and you’ll be redirected to a new tab to track your application.

Step 3: Here you’ll be asked to enter your registration number and registered mobile number.

Step 4: Finally, click the search button to track the current status of your UP lockdown pass registration.

In case your application has been processed successfully by the concerned authority then you can download your UP curfew pass online.

Things to Note

  • The Government of Uttar Pradesh has not imposed any weekend or full lockdown yet.
  • The official notification regarding lockdown will be released by the UP Government through its official website and leading newspapers.
  • Once the lockdown is imposed then UP curfew e pass is an essential document for movement.
  • It is compulsory to carry your identity proof along with e pass after the restrictions are imposed.
  • The approval and rejection of your UP lockdown pass will depend upon the reason provided during registration.
