Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) is all set to organise its first-ever T20 league. It will be played from 30th August 2023 to 16th September 2023. This intra-state tournament consists of six teams competing to become champions of Uttar Pradesh.

The fans eagerly want to know the UP T20 2023 schedule because the tournament is going to feature many star players like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Nitish Rana, Rinku Singh and more.

The tournament will kick off on 30th August with the first match to be played between Kanpur Superstars and Noida Super Kings. You should note that the UP T20 league in 2023 marks the rise of domestic intra-state T20 tournaments in India. UP is going to be the 10th state in India to organize such a tournament.

Brand Ambassador

Through its Twitter account, UPCA announced that Suresh Raina is going to be the brand ambassador of UP T20 2023. Suresh Raina is a retired World Cup winning player of the Indian Cricket Team. Hailing from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, Raina played 226 ODIs and 78 T20 international matches for India.

Venue and Tickets

All 33 matches of the UP T20 tournament will be played at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. The sale of tickets will start from 25th August 2023. To ensure the availability of tickets, authorities have provided both online and offline ticket-buying options.

Ticket Price and Free Entry For School Students

The auction for this season’s UP T20 tournament was completed on 20th August 2023. Each team had a budget of Rs. 1 crore to build a team. They distributed this amount by categorising players into the following groups.

• Marquee Players – 10 Lakh Rupees Each – These are top players who have represented the Indian Cricket Team or have extensive experience playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL)
• Grade A Players- 5 Lakh Rupees Each – Top players in the Indian domestic cricket circuit.
• Grade B Player- 3 Lakh Rupees Each – Talented players regularly showcasing their skills in domestic tournaments organised by BCCI
• Grade C Player – 1.5 Lakh Rupees Each – New player included in the UP T20 draft.
