Vijay Varma was born on 29 March 1986 in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, to a Marwari family. Varma’s father owns a handicraft business in Hyderabad he is the youngest of three siblings. He has one brother, Manoj, and an elder sister, Shobha. Vijay had earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce (B.Com) from an institute in Hyderabad and later moved to Pune to learn professional acting from the FTII.

Vijay Varma Career Highlights
Vijay began his journey as a theater artist in his hometown Hyderabad. In 2005, Varma decided to get a professional education in acting, enrolled himself at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), and moved to Pune. Varma was struggling financially at the time and the fees for the acting course were paid by his friend who also supported him by giving Varma a monthly allowance. After finishing the course, Vijay moved to Mumbai and started working in small roles. His first credited acting role came with the short film “Shor” which was highly acclaimed at several festivals, winning the Best Short Film at the MIAAC festival in New York.
In 2012, Varma appeared in the drama film “Chittagong” where he played the role of a young revolutionary.
