Zeldin was born on January 30, 1980 in East Meadow, New York to Merrill Schwartz and David Zeldin. He was raised within a mix of Conservative Judaism and Reform Judaism. Zeldin graduated from William Floyd High School, New York in 1998 and received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the SUNY University, Albany in 2001.
