Mikey Day was born on March 20, 1980, in Orange, California. Details about his parents are not known. Mikey is the only child of his parents. He attended Panorama Elementary School and later graduated from El Modena High School where he was a member of the drama program and the student government. In school, Day used to write comedic sketches for monthly assemblies. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in theater.

Mikey Day’s Professional Career
Mikey Day began his career with the popular improvisational theater group, Groundlings. Along with fellow comedy actor Michael Naughton, he wrote and co-starred in the parody of magician David Blaine called “David Blaine Street Magic”. The video became a major hit on YouTube becoming one of the most-viewed videos on the platform. He also played several characters in the Groundlings stage show “Groundlings, In The Study, With The Candlestick”.
As a writer Day wrote 11 episodes for the comedy sketch “The Underground” in 2006. In 2009, he appeared in the American remake of the Australian sitcom “Kath & Kim”. From 2010 to 2013 Mikey hosted “JMZ”, a parody of “TMZ” on “The Jay Leno Show” and “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”.
