| Class 9 | An admission test including subjects English, Hindi, Maths, Science, and Social Science will be held. The total marks of the question paper will be 100 and candidates are given 3 hours of time to solve the question paper. |
| Class 10 | Fresh admission to Non-KV students is offered based on availability of seats. Candidates should have at least 55% marks in class 9 to apply to class 10 admissions. |
| Class 12 | Fresh admission to Non-KV students is offered based on availability of seats. Candidates should have at least 55% marks in class 11 to apply to class 12 admissions. |

About KV Katihar
Kendriya Vidyalaya is a system of Central Government schools under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The system came into being in 1962 under the name “Central Schools” and has been affiliated with CBSE since then. Later, the name was changed to Kendriya Vidyalaya. Kendriya Vidyalaya Katihar, nested in the campus of N.E.F. Railway, with more than 1500 students.
