This Kendriya Vidyalaya was opened on 1st September 2010 with the permission of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (Ministry of Education), all-round support of KVS (RO) Silchar and under the patronage of Group Centre CRPF, Agartala .The Vidyalaya is located in the New Group Centre of CRPF near Adarani Tea Estate which is located on Agartala- Mohanpur Road at a distance about 06 km from Leechubagan tri-junction. The place is well connected by Rail, Road and Air. It is about 22 km. from AGARTALA (Badarghat) Railway station and about 10 km from Radha nagar bus stand. The airport is about 12 km. from school building. The school is presently running in a temporary building provided by CRPF authority.
