Maundy Thursday 2023 History

The primary importance of Maundy Thursday is the establishment of the Eucharist, or Holy Communion, in which Christians consume wine and eat a snack or unleavened bread that has been consecrated to symbolise the body and blood of Jesus (a language that varies by denomination).
