Class 1	The fresh registration is held every year. It depends upon Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghthan whether they would like to conduct online or offline registration for class 1.
Class 2 to 7	There will be an offline registration based on seats available. No admission test would be conducted and admissions are granted on the Priority Category system.
Class 9	An admission test including subjects English, Hindi, Maths, Science, and Social Science will be held. The total marks of the question paper will be 100 and candidates are given 3 hours of time to solve the question paper.
Class 10	Fresh admission to Non-KV students is offered based on availability of seats. Candidates should have at least 55% marks in class 9 to apply to class 10 admissions.
Class 12	Fresh admission to Non-KV students is offered based on availability of seats. Candidates should have at least 55% marks in class 11 to apply to class 12 admissions.
Class 11	Science- 60% marks in aggregate in class X Commerce: 55% marks in aggregate in class X Humanities: Passed class X Non-KV students are offered admission if vacancy available

About KV No. I Raipur

K.V. No.1 Raipur came into existence in 1982 by the virtue of initiatives taken by the authorities of S.E.C Railway to meet the educational needs of the children of its employees. It was a humble start with four pucca rooms. Presently, it sprawls over 14.9 acres with mammoth buildings in a pentagonal shape. The school has not seen back since its inception and flourished strength to strength since then. The land has been acquired on lease from S.E.C Railway for 99 years. The new school building came up in year 1992 and was inaugurated by the then G.M, S.E.C Railway, Mr. Vaithiswaran. The overwhelming response from the people of the area prompted the opening of double shift in 2005. Till date the schools is running in two shifts, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
