Delhi SoSE Admission 2023: The online registration process for Delhi SoSE admission 2023-24 (class 9) is over. The result will be declared soon at http://edudel.nic.in.

10 new School of Specialized Excellence (SoSE) were added in the last academic year, which made it total 31 SoSE in Delhi. All these schools are affiliated to the Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE). Students will be provided admission based on their performance in Delhi SoSE 2023 aptitude test.

There are 5 domains of Schools of Specialized Excellence- Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Humanities, High-End 21st Century Skills, Performing and Visual Arts, and Armed Forces Preparatory School.

1. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) – Classes 9 and 11
2. Humanities – Class 9
3. Performing and Visual Arts (PVA) – Class 9
4. High-End 21st Century Schools (HE21) – Class 9

Age Criteria

Class 9	Completed the age of 13 years but less than 15 years

Educational Qualification

STEM Eligibility Criteria

All residents of Delhi are eligible to apply- you’ll need to submit valid residence proof.

Those students who study in government, government-aided and recognised private schools of Delhi are permitted to apply.

50% students from Delhi Government schools will be provided admission.

For class 9: Students must have scored minimum 60% marks in class 7. SC/ST/OBC category candidates will be provided 5% relaxation.

For class 11: Students must have scored minimum 75% marks in class 9. SC/ST/OBC category candidates will be provided 5% relaxation.

Humanities Eligibility Criteria

Students who are residents of Delhi with valid residence proof and studying in government, government-aided and recognised private schools of Delhi are eligible.

50% admissions are valid for Delhi government schools’ students.

For class 9- It is compulsory to score minimum 60% marks in class 7. SC/ST/OBC students can claim for 5% relaxation.

Performing and Visual Arts

Residents of Delhi with valid residence proof studying in government, government-aided and recognised private schools of Delhi are eligible.

High-End 21^st Century Skills

Armed Forces Preparatory School (AFPS)

All Delhi residents with valid residence proof and studying in government, government-aided and recognised private schools of Delhi are eligible.

50% admissions are valid for Delhi government schools’ students.

For class 9- It is compulsory to acquire minimum 60% marks in class 7. SC/ST/OBC students can claim for 5% relaxation.

For class 11- It is compulsory to acquire minimum 75% marks in class 9. SC/ST/OBC students can claim for 5% relaxation.

School of Specialized Excellence (SoSE) Delhi Registration Process 2023

The online registration process for Delhi SoSE admission 2023-24 has been commended for class 9 in all specializations.

Note: All dates are tentative and for reference purpose only.

Here are the steps of Delhi SoSE 2023 registration and application form submission:

Step 1: You need to visit the official website of Delhi SoSE admission 2023- http://edudel.nic.in.

Step 2: Complete the registration process and make a note of your registration ID and password.

Step 3: Login to the official website using the same Registration ID and password and fill up your personal information in the ‘Candidate Profile’ section.

Step 4: You need to upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format. You can upload either colored or black/white (clear contrast) photo. The size of photograph and signature should be maximum 200KB.

Step 5: Please check all information filled by you and submit your profile information.

Step 6: Once you submit your personal information, you may proceed with application for the respective specializations.

Step 7: Choose the specialization (s) you would like to apply for and fill fill three campus preferences for each of the specialization(s) accordingly. There are five specializations (STEM, HE21, PVA, Humanities and AFPS). You can apply for maximum two of the first four specializations (STEM, HE21, PVA and Humanities) along with the Armed Forces Preparatory school.

Delhi SoSE 2023 Selection Process

STEM

• Selection of students would be made based on their performance in an aptitude test which includes mental ability, mathematics and science.
• Level of Class 11 Exam: Class 10 level
• Level of Class 9 Exam: Class 8 level

Humanities

• Though an aptitude test: Reading comprehension section, Data interpretation and logical reasoning, Analytical essay writing, Social science
• Level: Grade 6-8 NCERT topics

Performing and Visual Arts

There will be two part of assessment:

• Part 1: Valid for all students and it includes literacy, numeracy, and creative aptitude related questions.
• Part 2: Student’s aptitude in chosen art form will be accesses through a portfolio submission and/or audition and interview.

High-End 21^st Century Skills

There will be two part of assessment:

• Stage 1: Written test- verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, and logical reasoning.
• Stage 2: Selected students will need to complete a project

Armed Forces Preparatory School (AFPS)

• Selection of students would be based on an aptitude test followed by an interview and medical screening.
• Aptitude test- Mathematics, English, General Ability (Social sciences, general sciences, general awareness).

100 Schools of Specialised Excellence (SoSE) in Delhi are to be open in the next two years

It is proposed that 100 Schools of Specialised Excellence (SoSE) will open in the next two years. It is also to ensure that each educational zone hosts the Schools of Specialised Excellence (SoSE) so that every group of children can pursue education in their nearby schools.

Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE) along with Australian Council for Educational Research and Boston Consulting will supervise and execute the operations of these schools.
