Pakistan’s second most powerful radio station Radio Pakistan Lahore is beaming its propaganda towards East (Indian) Punjab, especially East Punjab’s brain city of Amritsar. For 65 years (From 1953 when All India Amritsar was shut down to September 24, 2018, when an AIR FM radio station was commissioned in village Gharinda in Amritsar district. But the 300 meter tower was not commissioned, rather a temparary 100 meter high towered was hurriedly commissioned. Technically a 300 meter tower with a 20 kilowatt transmitter has a 100 kilometer range compared to 50 kilometer range of a 100 meter high tower. I want the 300 meter tower commissioned after completing it to 1000 feet. This is international radio station covering Lahore a city of 1.3 crore population in Pakistan.
The construction work on the 300 meter high radio tower at village Gharinda in Amritsar district started in May of 2007. It was completed in 2013. Due to reasons of a minor tilt in the tower, the constructed tower was rejected and about 80 meter height from the top was demolished. After 16 years the project is still stalled. Please get it completed and commissioned with 3 FM transmitters one each for external service, Vividh Bharati and a local Punjabi channel. Thanks.
