PSTSE 2024 for Class 8 and Class 10: Application Form, Syllabus, Exam Pattern

Punjab State Talent Search Examination is conducted by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Punjab to select meritorious candidates for the scholarship award. PSTSE 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility criteria must be fulfilled by the candidates applying for PSTSE 2024:

• For class 8 PSTSE, the candidates should have cleared their class 7^th exam with not less than 55% marks in aggregate (50% for students belonging to reserved category).
• For class 10 PSTSE, the candidates should have cleared their class 9^th exam with not less than 55% marks in aggregate (50% for students belonging to reserved category).

PSTSE 2024 Application Form

The application form for PSTSE will be released in online mode on the official website of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Punjab. Candidates should all the instructions carefully before they begin with the application process.

• By providing basic details like name, gender, father’s name date of birth, address, phone number, etc, the candidates can fill their application form.
• Details such as school name, class studying in, board name, etc will also be asked in the application form.
• Choice for question paper language and exam center should be provided at the time of filling the application form.
• The applicants must take care to provide only correct details in the application form as any incorrect information can lead to its rejection.
• The duly-filled application form can then be submitted online along with the required application fee.
• After successful submission of the application form, the candidates should take its printout and keep it safe for future use.

Application fee:

• The process of application form submission will only be considered as complete after payment of application fee.
• Candidates can submit their application fee through online mode using the facility of net banking or credit card/ debit card.

Syllabus

• Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT): Questions will be asked from the subjects of Science, Social Science and Mathematics of class 7^th level (for class 8 exam) and class 9^th level (for class 10 exam).
• Mental Aptitude Test (MAT): Questions to assess verbal and non-verbal aptitude of the candidates will be asked.

Admit Card

• The admit card to appear in PSTSE 2024 will be released on the official website of the SCERT, Punjab.
• Students will be able to download their admit card using their application number. After downloading, they should take its printout to be carried to the exam center.
• The candidates must carry the admit card with them on the day of exam or else they will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
• The details of the exam like center address and schedule (date and time) will be mentioned in the admit card of the students.
• Admit card should be kept safe by the candidates as a damaged admit card will not be considered as valid.

PSTSE 2024 Result

• The result of the Punjab scholarship exam will be released by the authorities in online mode.
• Candidates will be able to check their result by visiting the official website of SCERT, Punjab.
• The result will appear in the form of a list consisting of the candidates’ name, roll number, father’s name, date of birth, SAT marks, MAT marks and total marks.
• Those students whose names appear in the list will be considered for the award of scholarship.

PSTSE Scholarship 2024

• Scholarship will be awarded to the candidates who clear the Punjab State Talent Search Exam successfully.
• A stipend of Rs. 200/- per month will be awarded to such candidates by the SCERT, Punjab.
