CBSE under the guidance of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, manages the UDAAN project. The aim of this project is to provide free of cost coaching to the talented girls and help them crack popular engineering entrance examination. This scheme is only for those girls who are currently studying in the 11^th class. The application form will release in online mode only. Those girls who want to apply must ensure that they meet the necessary eligibility criteria. CBSE UDAAN 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must ensure that they meet the following eligibility criteria before filling the application form.

Nationality

• The candidate should be an Indian Citizen residing in India.

Educational Qualification

• Those girl students who are currently studying in class 11^th of KVs/ NVs/ Government schools of any recognized board in India/ CBSE affiliated private schools.
• Girl students must be enrolled in Class 11^th with Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics stream.
• Candidates should have scored a minimum of 70% marks in class 10^th (80% marks in science and mathematics). For those boards which follow CGPA, a minimum CGPA of 8, and a GPA of 9 in Science and Mathematics.

Annual Income

• The family income of the girl’s family should be less than Rs. 6 lakh per annum.

CBSE UDAAN 2023 Application Form

Interested and eligible candidates who want to apply for the CBSE UDAAN Free Engineering Entrance Exam Preparation for Girl Students need to fill and submit the application form in online mode. Aspirants may access the application form through the official website. The complete application process is explained below.

• First of all, the candidates have to visit the official website of the CBSE i.e. www.cbse.nic.in/www.cbseacademic.in.
• After accessing the application form, aspirants have to fill all the required educational, personal, and contact details.
• The details entered in the application form must be accurate. Otherwise, the candidature might get rejected.
• Then, aspirants have to take a printout of the following documents.
  • Duly filled application form.
  • Applicant’s confirmation certificate.
  • Undertaking to be signed by the parent.
  • Verification certificate to be signed by the school principal
• After that, the printout of the application form duly verified from your school principal along with the following documents.
  • Undertaking that applicant is a regular student of the mentioned school
  • Annual income certificate
  • Reservation certificate (if applicable)
  • Class X mark sheet/ grade sheet fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
  • Undertaking (attached in the annexure of Udaan brochure) filled and signed by the parent/guardian of the applicant
• Applicants then have to carry all the documents (including verification certificate of the school Principal) along with the application form to the city coordinator of the chosen center.
• Finally, the aspirants need to submit all the documents to the city coordinator and collect duly filled acknowledgement receipt of your application. Also, keep it safe with yourself for future requirement.

CBSE UDAAN Financial Assistance

The selected students will get financial assistance by the mean of admission and tuition fee. However, the candidates must fulfill the following conditions in order to get financial assistance.

• Candidates must have at least 75% attendance in UDAAN weekly assessments for class 11^th and Class 12^th
• Student gets admission in IIT/NIT/ centrally funded engineering institutes.
• The girl should not be taking financial assistance or scholarship from any other source. Selected girls need to submit a certificate w.r.t. non-availing any other scholarship/grant/financial assistance from any other organization or institute duly verified by the head of the institution where she will be taking admission to pursue technical education.
• Students must secure good marks in each term of the course.

Selection Process

• The selection of candidates will be based on merit and will be considered against the city selected by the aspirants.
• During the preparation of the merit list, the reservation will be provided to the different categories in the following manner.
  • OBC (NCL): 27%
  • SC: 15%
  • ST: 7.5%
  • PWD: 3% of the seats in every category
• The selected candidates then need to participate in the weekly virtual contact classes.
