CBSE Compartment Exam 2024: Schedule Releases cbse.gov.in

CBSE compartment exam 2024 will be organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education. This examination will be conducted for those students who did not clear the class 10th or 12th exam in one or two subjects. CBSE has a provision for providing three chances to clear the compartment exam. Those students who do not clear the compartment examination even after three chances are considered failed. CBSE Compartment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria to appear for the CBSE Compartment examination are different for class 10th and class 12th examination as given below.

10th Class Students

• Those candidates who will appear in February/ March 2024 through their school affiliated to the Board and declared as compartments will be eligible to apply in one or two subjects in which they are placed in the compartment. Or
• Those regular aspirants who will appear in February/ March 2024 through their school affiliated to the CBSE and declared pass after replacement of a compulsory subject by skill subject (taken as 6th optional) will be eligible to appear in the failed subject under improvement of the performance category. Or
• All those candidates who will get punished under category 1 of unfair means wherein their current examination of the subject has been cancelled and they have been allowed to appear in compartment examination.

12th Class Students

• Those regular candidates who will appear for the class 12th board examination in February/ March 2024 through their school affiliated to the CBSE and declared compartment are eligible to apply only in one subject in which placed in compartment. Or
• Those regular candidates who will appear for the class 12th board examination in February/ March 2024 through their school affiliated to the CBSE with 6 Subjects and placed in a compartment in two subjects shall appear in any one of the two subjects. Or
• Such candidates who will appear in 6 subjects in February/ March 2024 and declared pass but could not clear one subject can appear in that subject during compartment Examination under Improvement of the performance category. Or
• Those aspirants who have been punished under Category 1 of unfair means wherein their current examination of the subject has been cancelled and they have been allowed to appear in Compartment examination.

CBSE Compartment Exam 2024 Application Form Last Date

The application process is different for the various categories of the students as explained below.

1. The students from the following categories need to approach the school in order to apply from which they have appeared.
   1. Students from class 12th and 10th who will appear for the exam in February/ March 2024 as regular candidates and whose result has been declared as “compartment”.
   2. Candidates of class 12th who will apply for improvement of performance as candidates and their result has been declared as ‘NC’ in the subject concerned.
   3. Class 12th students who will appear as regular candidates in 6 subjects in February/ March 2024 and declared pass but could not clear one subject can appear under improvement of performance category. And
   4. Candidates of class 10th and class 12th who will get punished under category 1 of unfair means
2. Schools shall have to submit LOC for Compartment Examination in respect of regular students, both for Class XII and Class X through e-Pariksha link
3. Private candidates have to fill and submit the application form for CBSE compartment exam 2024 through the official website of CBSE.

Application Fee

The application fees for CBSE Compartment exam 2024 are given below.

Mode of payment

• The following modes of payment are accepted by the Board.
  • In India – Debit Card/ Credit Card/ NEFT/ RTGS
  • Foreign – Debit Card/ Credit Card/ SWIFT

CBSE Compartment Exam 2024 Admit Card 

• The board will release the admit card for the CBSE compartment examination separately.
• Private candidates will be able to download the CBSE compartment admit card for Class 10th and class 12th examination from the CBSE website.
• On the other hand, regular candidates need to contact their schools in order to get the admit card.
• Information about the date, time and venue of the examination will be mentioned on the admit card.
• No candidate will be allowed to take the examination without an admit card.

Result

• The result of CBSE Compartment examination 2024 will release in online mode only.
• Those candidates who will appear for the examination will be able to check the result through the official website of the CBSE.
• The result will contain information about the marks secured by the candidates in the examination.
• Students should take a printout of the result card for future references.
